Sola Olulode is a British Nigerian artist whose work centres themes of intimacy, identity and community through richly textured, emotive painting. Drawing on her heritage and lived experience, she creates tender, utopian scenes that celebrate Black queer life. Working primarily in indigo, green and yellow, with materials such as wax, oil bar and dye, Olulode’s practice is both materially and conceptually grounded. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is included in esteemed public and private collections.
